The britannia bridge is decorated with four magnificent stone lions, one at each corner of the bridge, two on the Anglesey side and two on the mainland side. The four lions were sculptured in local? Limestone by John Thomas. Unfortunately the Lions cannot be seen from the A55 Dual Carriageway, only if you walk underneath the road bridge, near to where the railway section is.
There are many local people, and people from a far as well that would like to be able to see the lions, or be greeted by them as you cross the Britannia Bridge as you're arriving onto the Isle of Anglesey, what a fantastic way to be greeted.
It is possible to see these four magnificent lions and get fairly close to them.
